GENERAL
GAMES INFORMATION:
The 2010 Ohio Senior Olympics State Games were the qualifying event for the 2011
National Senior Games to be held in Houston, Texas. Ohio's results and
qualifying information has been shared with NSGA and registration is now open
for the 2011 games. To register for the 2011 National Senior Games you must
compete and qualify by December 31, 2010.

| Triathlon-
The Ohio Senior Olympics State Games did not offer triathlon in 2010.
Athletes that wish to qualify for the 2011 National Senior Games may
compete and qualify in this event in another state, or by meeting the
"Limited Event" rule established by NSGA (see below)
|
| "Limited" Events
If a “limited” event is not
offered at the qualifying state
games in an athlete’s home state, the
athlete may qualify for that event by meeting the following criteria:
For hammer throw: an
athlete must submit verification of having competed
in two USA Track & Field sanctioned competitions between Jan. 1 and
Dec. 31, 2010.
For triathlon: an
athlete must submit verification of having completed two triathlons
between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2010.
Only
hammer throw and triathlon meet the definition of limited events for
purposes of qualifying in Ohio for the 2011 National Senior Games.
Athletes must submit to the
NSGA office by no later than March 1, 2011, a Limited Event
Verification form, available from the NSGA office (it's available on the
NSGA
web site), along with a copy of the official
results or other public document illustrating the results.

subject to change based on registration and participation. |
